Welcome to Quizwiki!

This wiki has been set up by Quizzing.co.uk in conjunction with the International Quizzing Association. Its purpose is to provide quiz players and question setters with a resource, similar to the many books that are on the market, containing lists of useful facts etc.. The belief is that a Wiki created, maintained and edited by quiz enthusiasts will quickly become the most reliable resource of its kind.

Over the coming months, a number of the 20,000+ members of Quizzing.co.ukwill be enlisted to help devise the best method of presenting data - with links into the main Wikipedia pages - and, of course, most importantly, ensuring the accuracy of said data.

It is our intention first to identify those areas which have elsewhere been only sparsely covered, or perhaps addressed in a less than reliable fashion. We hope to be able to 'blitz' such subjects on the Quizzing.co.ukwebsite by brainstorming relevant issues on our discussion threads, and then post complete, or near complete segments of the wiki here for visitors to use.

Most importantly, we hope eventually to be able to present introductions to the data presented in this wiki in all the chief languages used in the IQA's member countries. In so doing I am sure our friends in Belgium, Estonia, India, Malaysia, Norway and Singapore will assist us.
